AT PERSONALISED SUPPORT SYSTEMS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

AUSTRALIAS LEADING TEAM OF INNOVATIVE PROVIDERS OF COMMUNITY, GROUP AND IN-HOME CARE.

Personalised Support Systems founded in December 2019 is an organisation built on strong presence, work ethic and attention to detail. With several years of experience company directors Fernando and Matthew met in the field supporting a participant in December of 2019. The guys have then collaborated and Personalised Support Systems was formed from their two companies uniting. Personalised Support Systems is comprised of many youthful, energetic and experienced team members located all throughout Melbourne along with some surrounding regional suburbs. Our mantra is that we accept any participant regardless of their complexities and we take great pride in ensuring that the company is there to support both the participant and their family.

ITS TRUST THAT MATTERS

We work together implementing a team for our participants to ensure greater consistency and care of the highest standard. With a team leader as the point of contact followed by several support workers who are selected to adhere to the individuals specific needs. At Personalised Support Systems we are here to get it right from the beginning and build upon a long lasting relationship.

WHY CHOOSE US

EMPOWERING YOU TO BE YOURSELF

With more than ten years of experience caring for young people with disabilities, we have recognised that young participants are too often matched up with mature support workers, creating the participant problem of disjointedness or lack of relevance. Accordingly, we make it our business to deliver support services in a fun and engaging way for our participants. We have built and continue to develop a team of youthful yet experienced support workers that can be seen as older siblings and role models: inviting their participants to relate to them with high levels of comfort, knowing they are safe to just be themselves.

DISABILITY SUPPORT THAT’S AGE AND GENDER INCLUSIVE

While many of our participants are in the “youth” category, we also have a great deal of expertise in disability support for people of all ages.

We are family-oriented and look to build long-lasting relationships. Several of our families have been with us for well over eight years. We recognise the importance of reliability and consistency when inviting support workers into the family home, and  accordingly focus on matching our participants with a team of staff who have sought work in the youth and disabilities sector as a vocation rather than just a job.

Amanda Sexton

Amanda Sexton

Head of Business Support

Amanda’s early career was in the retail sector while she completed her studies in Nutrition Science. Her interest in the disability sector peaked when ‘interrogating’ a good friend of hers who was working as a Support Worker at Personalised Support Systems. The rest is history… Amanda joined Personalised Support Systems in June 2021 as a casual Disability Support Worker. She thoroughly enjoyed this role, developing amazing connections with participants while learning and developing her own skills. In fact, Amanda loved it so much, she knew that this was the career and sector she wanted to devote her career to. Amanda soon began taking on administrative duties alongside her Support Worker role. In 2023, Amanda progressed to her full-time position as Head of Administration, providing all of the behind-the-scenes support required to ensure the best quality care and services for our participants. Amanda says: “You will find me at our Nunawading hub space where I love working amongst our friendly team and talented participants”. In her spare time Amanda enjoys spending time in the kitchen creating new sweet treats for friends and family.

Karrah Caton

Karrah Caton

Head of Support Coordination

Responsible for the Support Coordination department, Karrah trains and manages new Support Coordinators to ensure quality service outputs. Karrah started in Disability services in December of 2008, finding her passion through supporting a young girl with an intellectual disability whilst she was on a school holiday program. Since then, her support work has covered many streams including: community based, in home, day services, permanent accommodation, short term accommodation, etc. She has enjoyed equipping and upskilling new support workers in their roles. Karrah’s biggest passion is working with people with complex needs to achieve things they never thought they could, and supporting people to have real life experiences that they control over. Karrah’s favourite colour is green, favourite song is Mr Brightside (has been since she was 17).
