I’m forever grateful to this wonderful organisation for making life fun at a time it could have been dreadful by getting me out of the house and into the world, helping me lose weight, increasing my mobility, and giving me support workers who became just as much my support workers as my friends. I would not be who I am today without the last four months of associate with Personalised Support Systems.” – Sam L
“Hey Fernando and team!
Just want to know how grateful I am to have you guys to support me through what is both a challenging but empowering part of my life. The challenge is guiding this vessel back towards land and I need all the help I can get to do so. I was genuinely in tears when I was doing one of my many breathing exercises with Fernando and Matt on Monday as I was reflecting on what position I would be in right now if it wasn’t for all of you #thankyou” – Declan V

Their booking systems is hassle free and it is especially helpful to be able to speak to the same friendly staff each time you make or change a booking.
A team leader is allocated to each participant. This really simplifies the process of having the one person to speak to for any issues or questions you may have.

“Hi Matt. My name is Jo, Marnie passed on your number and you employed my son Sol.
I can’t thank you enough for taking on and believing in him. This job has been so wonderful for him. I have been around the disability sector for so many years, working in it and growing up with a sister with ID (aunt) and now a mum with quadriplegia Grandma) and I have never come across a service provider as innovative and committed as you guys. Your genuine care and commitment to inclusion is so rare.” – Jo L
“How my life has changed for the better since PSS support workers Sol, Rohan, Daniel and Josh have come into my son’s Sam’s life to assist him with personal care, therapy shifts and social access to the community. A wonderful young group of guys who have taken on their role with Sam with genuine care, responsibility, fun, humour and Sam LOVES his time with all of you.
And to have joey recently come on board to assist in Sam improving his strength, mobility and fitness, we can already see such positive results! You have a way of making a workout fun and Sam thinks you’re legendary.
To now finally after 23 years, be able to take a step back from Sam’s care, knowing he is well looked after medically, mentally, socially and emotionally and allow Sam the independence he deserves, is a huge relief for me as his mum. The trust I have in this company and these young me caring for my son is immense and I’m extremely grateful for this.
Thanks PSS!
Go Team Sam!” – Kate L
Megan and Joseph have been working together for about three months now with a main goal of making her a better swimmer. She’s already a fantastic swimmer winning multiple medals and trophies in her sport but there was a little bit of a difference when it came to her strength to be able to swim faster and go for longer.
However this didn’t stop Megan as she continued to thrive and wanting to be better and the best in her field. Being able to work with Megan we have noticed a massive change in her Functional movement, which is influenced her performance in the pool. Not only has Megan noticed a difference and says she feels difference, but she’s able to perform much better in the gym lifting more, going for longer and most importantly having fun in the process.
Megan looks forward to all her gym sessions during the week and wants to make it a personal goal wear that she beat the weight or the movement she was doing every single week.
Megan and Joseph have created a very strong bond where we can laugh train and enjoy each other’s company which makes the sessions go a lot quicker. At the same time consistency and persistence has been a key in developing his bond and also developing her training regime.
Sara and Jessie train weekly at the gym, completing a tailored exercise program to work towards her goals. Jessie has come such a long way from being quiet and shy, to absolutely owning the gym and every exercise that comes her way. They use their rest breaks to talk about the week then play their favourite music and listen to artists which they both jam to on the way back home.
Jessie has adjusted incredibly well to her program and enjoys her sessions with “Sarbear” especially when they finish with her favourite activity, boxing. Jessie’s improvement can be seen through her technique and execution of exercises but also through the increase in resistance.
There is so much more that the two can achieve together, in between all the laughs and fun. Watch this space as Jesse continues to come out of her shell.
Josh and Ben have been working together for a year. When they first started working together Josh only knew Ben was a fan of the band ac/dc little did he know the love Ben had for music was very deep and had a lot more to be exposed to Josh soon found out Ben had a massive passion for guitar and had amazing rhythm and timing and they’ve been working on perfecting it ever since! Ben now owns his own guitar with a loud amp and can play chords and rock out like a real rock star! Josh and Ben jam nearly every week and make as much noise as they can and the smile on Bens face says it all! The lads have been working on Bens first album and are hoping to finish it off by the end of next year!
David and Fernando have been working together 2-3x per week for 15 months. When they began David could not ride a push bike, struggled to bench more than 20kg and lacked the confidence to showcase his amazing talents and personality. Now 15 months later David is flying and full of confidence.
David can now ride a push bike on his own and has gone on one hour bike rides with Fernando. David says that he feels like a ‘free man’ now being able to ride on his own. David can also bench up to 65kg and enjoys spending time with others and being social as his confidence continues to grow.
David and Fernando also enjoy spending time together playing Pokémon and pinball to which David always wins!
The future is bright for David with the boys planning many more adventures down the track with David to finish school at the end of the year. David and Fernando have an inseparable bond to which they have both learnt many things off each other along the way.

Michael and Laura began their art journey together back in 2019 when Michael was looking for a creative space as well as creative people to help him work towards his goal in having his first solo art exhibition. Working as an artist and battling through the struggles of a pandemic Michael and Laura have been able to work together in all kinds of ways to continue his creative journey.
Exploring concepts, materials and looking at art when possible both have supported each other through the challenges of the past two years making them become not just artist colleges but also dearest friends. Michael’s first solo exhibition “Mother Nature” is due to go ahead early February 2022 at the Box hill town hall. His exhibition will be showing many works on paper, paintings and mix media all exploring nature in its purest forms from animals, landscapes, nature itself and feelings around natural disasters.
Michaels artistic attitude, approach to his practice and his ability to explore all aspects of his creativity has allowed him to truly create a wonderful exhibition. Michael and Laura’s beautiful friendship will surely continue for years to come, exploring and evolving upon Michaels artistic practice and personal growth along the way. Michael is a true inspiration and an incredible artist. Michael and Laura look forward to what the future holds.
For the past 18 months, Maurice has been working closely with Alexander to help him develop his biggest passion in life, singing songs.
Alexander is one of many music students that accesses 1:1 song writing / singing tuition sessions for two hours a week. In the beginning Alexander struggled to sing a one sentence melody line without getting tired. They start each session with oral and vocal exercises. Alexander found these exercises helpful, it encouraged him to focus on using different parts of his mouth to make different sounds, therefore increasing his oral motor capacity. Alexander has also developed his breathing techniques whilst working with Maurice and using longer sentences – a great achievement. Alexander continues to work on his pitch and vocal range as he constantly strives for improvement. Maurice has been doing an amazing job channelling Alexander’s infectious energy and together they study and watch Alexander’s favourite artists together.
Maurice describes himself as being the luckiest person in the world working alongside students like Alexander.
