NDIS Support Services

NDIS support services are provided to individuals who get funded for support from the NDIA. Organisations can utilise this funding to support NDIS participants to meet their disability-related needs. Personalised Support Systems provides assistance and support services to help individuals with disabilities be active participants of their community, reach their NDIS goals and fulfil basic needs in their daily life. If you obtain funding through NDIS, we can provide goal focused supports for your needs. We will continue by creating a support plan together where we will find and record your immediate support needs as well as your future goals.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme

NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is one of the most useful support aid programs run by the Australian government to help eligible individuals fund their needs in life, ranging from daily life basics to home modification or equipment per their condition. The NDIS is available across all states and territories across Australia.

One of the best features of this scheme is that the participant holds the right to decide how to use the funds for supports listed in their plan. As a part of the program, the individual’s support plan is key to receiving the immediate benefits of NDIS and further support per their requirements. The scheme also allows the individual to pick a support service provider of their choice.

NDIS = A Better Life

The NDIS helps Australian with disabilities by providing them with funding and support to mitigate difficulties caused by living with a disability. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need to improve their skills and independence over time. The NDIS covers the expenses of eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive or psychosocial disabilities to receive support from another individual or a support service provider. There is also something known as Early intervention Support for children with disability or children with developmental delays. Recognising and treating such conditions early on increases the chances of building independent skills, enabling them to live a better life.

Who is Eligible for NDIS Support?

The NDIS aims to provide every Australian citizen with disabilities with information and support services to be able to live to the fullest. While looking to avail of the benefits of NDIS, you must check your eligibility criteria and have properly prepared a care and support plan that lists your immediate and future needs that the NDIS can fund. Here are a few points to check if you fall under the eligibility criteria of the NDIS:

  • Your age must be between 7 and 65
  • You must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent resident or special category visa.
  • You must provide evidence of your disability and show the requirement of support from another person.
  • You must mention if you require any special equipment to support your disability.
  • You must state your current support requirements to minimise future complications or needs.

Get NDIS ready

To be NDIS ready, move forward in life and achieve your goals, you can start by contacting your nearest NDIS partner responsible for delivering the NDIS and helping you navigate the supports and services in your local area.

You can also find help from a support coordinator in your NDIS plan with NDIA funding. If you are the parent of a child under 7 years of age with a disability, you will need to contact an Early Childhood Partner in your local government area. They will guide you through processes, and you don’t require to be an NDIS participant for getting support for your child.

To be eligible, you will be required to provide information and proof regarding your disability and meet the eligibility criteria of the NDIS. Once passed, you will need to prepare an individual plan that lists your immediate support needs and future requirements.
